After watching a documentary about Neil Armstrong last weekend, it reminded me that I had a copy of In The Shadow if the Moon in my Blu-Ray collection (these days I only buy Blu-Rays because of their higher image quality than DVDs). The Armstrong documentary got me to thinking back to my childhood when the Apollo missions were always on the news.
There’ve been many documentaries down the decades about the halcyon days of moon exploration but In The Shadow of The Moon is different. It’s reminiscences and thoughts delivered by the astronauts themselves. Moving, engaging and ultimately uplifting, it’s one of those “must-see” programs if you’ve never had the opportunity to see it. I wrote a review of the documentary a couple of years back which you can check out here if you want more info.
