October 2007 – Jodrell Bank: Sir Patrick Moore celebrates the 50th birthday of the radio telescope at Jodrell Bank in Cheshire, created just in time to pick up the radar signal from the satellite Sputnik. It has been at the centre of radio astronomy ever since and has been responsible for the discovery of quasars, gravitational lenses and groundbreaking research into pulsars and cosmic explosions such as supernovae. Astronomer Bernard Lovell talks about how it came to be built, despite huge engineering and financial challenges.

Game master! – I used to watch that when I was little. It was TV in we had in Britain in the 90’s and it was indeed awesome, it was presented by Sir Patrick Moore a astronomer and TV personality. he is the weird head thing. it was a very strange show.
red sky at night sailors delight- RED SKY AT NIGHT means that as the sun sets in the west, if it has a red hue or color to it, then the moisture was further west of their location. Thus SAILORS DELIGHT. A beautiful sunset.
red sky in morn' sailors be warn' – RED SKY IN MORN' means that as the sunlight from the rising sun passes through moisture, it too will be red. This means that with the rotation of the earth, this will bring this moisture (and possible storm) right on top of them and it is only a few hours away. SO SAILORS TAKE WARN.
