I live in Australia and remember when I was young (about 10 or so) travelling around the country. The thing I most remember was the massive strip of stars that dominated the night sky. It was amazing. Shooting stars every 30 seconds or so and you could watch satellites track across the sky – and that was about 20 years ago. I'd love to do another trip now.
