If you’re a regular visitor to this site you’ll have noticed that there have been problems accessing the site from time to time over the last week.

This has been due to a major problem at my webhost. After doing a server upgrade, things just started falling apart. Some plugins on the site stopped working or behaved erratically and there were frequent timeouts during page loads. Sometimes pages didn’t render properly as well.

There’ve been several false starts over the last week as things were supposed to have been fixed and them it turned out that they weren’t. The problem seems to lie with a company my webhost subcontracted work to.

As of today (Friday), it looks like everything’s been sorted out. Everything on the site appears to be working correctly again but I’d appreciate it if you find a page isn’t loading correctly or something seems wrong, if you’d let me know about it. Try using the contact form first but if that’s unavailable, send me an email at gvnugent at gmail dot com.

Regular posting of astronomy and space news stories can now resume.
