Jodrell Bank Podcast

Jodrell Bank, a radio observatory near Manchester in the UK, hosts a number of radio telescopes. The observatory was established in 1945 by Bernard Lovell (later to become Sir), a radio astronomer who wanted to investigate cosmic rays after his work on radar during the Second World War. Jodrell Bank Observatory is also the base of the Multi-Element Radio Linked Interferometer Network (MERLIN). The BBC’s annual Stargazing Live astronomy series is broadcast from the Discovery Centre at the observatory. The observatory also produces podcasts for astronomy enthusiasts every fortnight.
