I have a star trek collectable phaser from the pilot, what’s it worth?
I got this collectable off eBay a few years ago, http://i53.tinypic.com/3354bat.jpg, as a toy when i was a kid, I was stumbling around the internet and found this, http://www.atomicmall.com/view.php?id=1141337, a similar item going for a good chunk of change. This one is far nicer however mine is only a plastic model with working lights and sounds but i don’t know if it’s even worth anything. Is it worth saving and protecting?

Has anyone ever re-programed a TV remote with their computer?
I have this old Telemania brand universal remote that looks like a Phaser from Star Trek the Next Generation. It does not currently work with my HD TV, my Blu-Ray player, or my HD cable box. I know this is because none of these devices existed when the remote was new. I am wondering if any one out there has ever connected one of these to their computer and reprogrammed it for newer electronics? Or, barring that, if anyone has ever reprogrammed any universal remote with a computer?
