Original Star Trek Cast
is the new Star Trek movie by JJ Abrams an alternate universe?
albeit the original series cast and the "new" USS Enterprise i have read and i believe that the new Star Trek movie is an alternate universe that doesn't "connect" with the TOS series.
i have seen the movie so no spoilers for me. so, what happens now to the old Spock? how come Nero & Co. "waited 25 years" for old Sock to reappear (then capture him afterwards) whereas in the movie there was " 3 years later"? also, i have noticed some obvious deleted scenes not included in the movie but was in the trailer like when Nero was supposedly on the Klingon penal planet, etc.
Nero (as depicted) was plainly an insane idiot ... (as was his entire crew)
After all, with a few hundred years advance knowledge of the Super-Super-Nova that destroyed his Planet (plus the advanced technology of his vessel), any semi-sane person would plainly have done something to warn his ancestors and save his race first ...
... and by turning over his ship to his ancestors, his race would have quickly learned enough to built an unstoppable battle fleet to take on the entire Universe and guarantee his 'revenge' ...
... no doubt any sane person in his crew would have come to the same conclusion sometime during the 25 years ... even if a mutiny was not possible, plainly, with everyone armed to the teeth, assassination was just an easy accident away ...
Conclusion = they were all insane idiots ..

Star Trek Sign
Is consecutive separating of the index and middle finger from the rest bad for your fingers? (Star trek style)
I'm not sure if it's from Star Trek, but when I do the peace sign or something (index and middle fingers to one side, ring and pinky fingers to the opposite; forms like a V) it feels uncomfortable and leaves a feeling in between the middle and ring fingers for a little bit. So will this have a negative effect if I keep doing it? (Like using both index and middle fingers to push both shoulder buttons on a PS3/Xbox controller simultaneously). What's the worst that can happen if I keep it up?
Your hand can fall off. No seriously what kind of damage can you get by doing apeace sign or thumbs up? The game thing is repetition for hours. You can get carpal tunnel syndrome and need surgery. But the volucon thing? Leonard Nemoy seems to be fine........

Trek Romulan
Next Star Trek Movie?
I think a great plot for the next Star Trek movie would be the Romulan War, from begening to the creation of the neutral zone.
How would that be?
It would be great! There are so many unfinished scenarios in the Star Trek saga that many many more movies could be made with any number of willing actors. The best one lately was "First Contact", which explored the world and mentality of the Borg into great detail. I, for one, would welcome any such proposition. Unfortunately, I am not in charge of Hollywood. Never was. Never will be.
