Are there any “Trekkies” who only like TOS?
I like to consider myself a bit of a trekkie. (I have some pairs of vulcan ears, a Starfleet uniform, a phaser, action figure, the encyclopedia…)

I am a Trek Fan. have been my entire life. I was too young for ST:TOS but saw them all in re-runs on Saturdays after Buck Rogers and Battlestar Galactica. I have seen all the the spin-off series, Enterprise being my favorite (no flames please) with DS9 a close second.
Zachary Quinto rocked as Spock and young Brad Pitt look-alike Chris Pine was fine as Captain James Tiberius Kirk. Trekkies all around the world, unite! Star Trek returns to the world’s consciousness after almost a decade of inactivity. Of course die-hard Trekkies everywhere will never succumb to the application of that word to their beloved Enterprise. Inactivity? Excuse me!
The original Star Trek is set in the 23rd century and follows the adventures of the Starship Enterprise and its crew, Captained by James T. Kirk (William Shatner), Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) his First Officer, and Leonard McCoy (DeForest Kelley) his Chief Medical Officer.
Cartoons are great forms of entertainment. An animated object could do just about anything. Actually, an animated object COULD do anything. There was no such thing as impossible when it came to cartoons. That is why so many cartoons, past and present, are rooted in science fiction. But what happens when a cartoon maker wants to turn real flesh and blood characters into animated characters? Do the same rules apply as for all cartoons? Can the new animated characters do things their flesh and blood counterparts couldn’t? Would you want them to? Would the public accept them if they did?
