Astronomy Toolbar for Internet Explorer and Firefox:
New V1.3 Release: The Astronomy Toolbar is a free download that, when installed, will add a toolbar into Internet Explorer or Forefox with the following functions (feel free to pass the toolbar install file onto anyone else):
- Check out the prices on various astronomy equipment and accessories
- Search Google for whatever you want from within the toolbar (search histories increased to 25 in V1.2)
- Highlight your search terms on the results pages that are returned
- Connect to various news sources for the latest astronomy and space news
- Software Resources
- Equipment Reviews
- Weather Information
- Audio & Video Resources (14 new resources added in V1.3)
- 25 Astronomy Podcast Resources (6 new podcasts added in V1.2 & V1.3 incl. NASA & ESA)
- Astronomy Shopping Resources
- The latest news headline displayed in the toolbar

You may need to click the "Edit Options" button and add nightskyobserver.com to your Trusted Sites
Rest assured that there is no Spyware, Adware or other Malware included with the toolbar. The current version of the toolbar is V1.3.
If you ever want to remove the toolbar, it can be reomved via Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel (Internet Explorer) or through the Extensions section of Firefox.
To upgrade from to V1.3 from a previous version, follow these steps (Internet Explorer only - V1.3 is the first release for Firefox):
- Download the V1.3 toolbar upgrade here
- Select the "Save" option rather than the "Run" option when asked
- Close all Internet Explorer windows
- Run the downloaded AstroBarUpg.exe file
